in a declining real estate market, you have to be very, very careful. As with all things real estate related, it’s all about location, location, location. If a property doesn’t sell, you might find that that 16% drops to 8% as a year sails by… and then to 4% the next year… if a property stays on the market for a full 3+ years, you might find that your bank savings account would have been a better place to put your money. Besides, realtors are going to be all over this and they have inside information and can push specific properties.
