Home Sale | Home Sales Slump In The Wake Of Home Buyer’s Tax Opportunities

Home sales were certainly flying high when home buyers were struggling to get offers in on homes before the April 30th deadline for the home buyer’s tax credit qualification; now in the aftermath of that home buying frenzy, the rush for homes seems to have died down over much of the country. Loan requests have dropped to the lowest levels since December 1996 while at the same time mortgage refinancing has dropped 2.9 percent and mortgage applications have dropped to 35% below last year’s numbers, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.

wow congrats on buying your home. I think you bought it at the perfect time. Be prepared to gain a lot of equity as house prices rise! Very good! Always love to see folks making a wise decision.

I would put the sign on the side of the house. It is not the agents fault. I know because I am an agent and this happens to me too. What happens is the agent has a service that he calls and they go and put up and take down the signs.

He has probably called them a zillion times but those guys sometimes aren't the most reliable at taking them down.

You know what I would do? Save the sign, those things are expensive lol! Then when you have a yard sale or something you can put it to good use!

Congrats and enjoy your new home and your wise investment.

That's really good information on preparing your home for sale. Once the hard work is done and your home is on the market, here are a few more tips.

How to Prepare for a Showing in Ten Minutes or Less…

1. Put the dishes in the dishwasher.
(Or quickly wash the dishes!)
2. Make the beds.
3. Wipe the counters.
4. Empty the garbage.
5. Hide dirty clothes in the washer.
6. Take a deep breath!
7. Run a quick vacuum.
8. Turn on the lights.
9. Leave the house before showing!
10. Smile! You did it!

No you cannot evict. They have not violated lease. What would you tell the judge?

If foreclosed there lease is is invalid as of the auction date and they have to leave.

Explain how they benefit by staying longer if they will cooperate in showings so you can sell.

who will buy a place if those tenants have rights to occupy it for 6
