This is scary. I agree with a lot of the article, although inflation is a tricky thing. There certainly are things that have experienced deflation (e.g. the real estate market). Also, I don’t believe a downgrade in the S&P would be insignificant. It could cause interest rates to rise, just as inflation does, simply because riskier bonds command higher yields. So there is more than one trap to fall into the mess.

To a point, that all other countries cartoons, are stigmitized by the parenting community as a whole. Of course there is a heck of a lot more violence in those. But lets accept one crazy thing, all companies in the usa do this, and do this well.

Thanks Lisa,
I agree, the general public are not always aware the a real estate market is local and that general trends don't always reflect reality. For example the general market in Portland Oregon is poor, but there are still areas in Portland where a home will get multiple offers soon after it comes on the market. Thanks for visiting my blog!!

The entire real estate market is taking a bit of a beating right now, thanks in no small part to our “friends” to the south of us.

The Edmonton Real Estate market is seeing signs of this as well; visit me at http://www.knock-knock.ca/john_real_estate_blog/ for Edmonton real estate information and statisitcs.

But I have to say… CMHC has got to be scared; there's a lot of potential foreclosures coming with their names on it!

Some foremost developers based in the region say it is becoming more and more complicated for them to sell flats at launch stage due to lack of interest from speculators. This reflects on the inherent demand structure in the real estate market.]]>
