Real Estate Market | So You Decided To Become A Realtor? Now What?

Congratulations on your success of becoming a Realtor. Passing the test is a great accomplishment. You deserve a pat on the back for your success. Now that you have your license it is time to really get started and learn some tips on how to become a Realtor in the business of real estate.

Perhaps you have the expectation everything will now just fall in place and in no time at all you will be a successful Realtor. You have a great mentor, a wonderful office, a phone, a computer and you are ready to go just let the phone start ringing.

It may not be just that easy. You will find out very soon in the midst of all the help provided to you a basketful of customers is probably not part of the deal. Every other real estate agent in town and even in your office is looking for the same client leads you are. So this can get to be each fending for their own and you too probably will find you will have to generate your own leads and clients.

Roll up your sleeves it is time to get to work. You probably have many questions running through your thoughts at this time. What works? What doesn’t work? How much will that cost? Is it effective? What is my target market? What do I do first?

Statistics shows approximately 90% of real estate clients begin the search online. They sit down at their computer and start searching for what is available. So where do you think is a good starting place for marketing your real estate service as you become a Realtor? Yes, that is right, in the home of your potential clients by way of internet marketing. The home buyer publications and newspapers will have to take a back set to online internet marketing if you want to get even on the radar of potential clients as you start out to become a Realtor.

Now that the question of where to start has been answered, the next question is how do I enter the world of internet marketing? How much is it going to cost? To get started you can set up some basic internet marketing plan without having to take out a loan to do so. There are more expensive gadgets and technologies you can incorporate after you are better established. Frequently the cost of setting up an internet marketing plan can actually cost less than newspaper advertisement. A cost effective marketing plan is important.

Get your internet marketing plan as you become a Realtor set up with the basics and continue to build and expand upon this foundation for a successful career in real estate.

Until three or four years ago West and South Side apartments were filled to overflowing with immigrants, many of who were illegal. When the economy tanked a lot of those immigrants went back to their home countries. The empty buildings pushed many of building owners into default on mortgages creating the current inventory of boarded up bank-owned properties that just sit empty.

4 yrs ago yes.. nowadays.. things are extremely bad. I deal with foreclosures every single day…our office deals mainly with REO properties.. regular properties are not selling as much.. at least not around here.. Things are really tough out there.. :(

It's pretty much nationwide. When someone says "it's a buyer's market", that means there are more sellers than buyers, and some sellers are so desperate, they'll do just about anything within reason to sell. It doesn't really mean buyers have it EASIER.
